Secret Records Revealed Highlights

“New World Order” is proclaimed on the U.S. dollar bill in Latin (“Novus Ordus Seclorum”). President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed it in 1917. Adolf Hitler officially began a “New Order” in Germany in 1934. And on September 11, 1991, at the conclusion of the first Gulf War, President George H.W. Bush stated to Congress: “What is at stake is more than one small country. It is a big idea… A New World Order.”

As of today (2005), it seems that many elements of this New World Order (NWO) have taken shape through the establishment of supra-national financial institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Trade Organization, etc. We see it also in the incredible accumulation of wealth in the hands of a very small minority of international elites who control the banks, the corporations, and through them, the governments of the world. Today, 458 billionaires have more wealth than does 65% of humanity. The assets of the world’s richest three men exceed the combined gross domestic products of the world’s poorest 48 countries. The world’s top 200 corporations have greater wealth than the bottom 80% of humanity. Over half of the world’s biggest economies are now corporations rather than governments. And numerous corporations (GM, Wal-Mart, GE, to name a few) each have, by themselves, each, wealth than all the countries on the continent of Africa.

Today, many Third World countries are stagnating and failing, mainly because they are deeply and perhaps permanently indebted to international lending agencies such as the World Bank and the IMF. On average, they pay out $13 of interest for every $1 they receive in international aid. Indeed, the economies of about 160 (of a total 190) countries are being “sapped” by imposition of IMF “structural adjustment programs”. The result is that these Third World Countries are in permanent debt-bondage to First World lending agencies and are thereby forced to offer up their resources (forests, fish, minerals, oil, etc.) and the labor of their citizenry at bargain basement prices to international corporations. The result is that nearly half of humanity now lives and dies on less than the equivalent of $2 a day and about one fifth of humanity lives on less than $1 a day, according to UN statistics (Hartmann, 2002).

The United States, the world’s sole remaining superpower, is the chief enforcer of these economic disparities. And this “New World Order” is now more fashionably termed“globalization”. Today, the U.S. has its troops stationed in 135 of about 190 countries. Meanwhile, in America, the class divide has also reached abyssal proportions: 1% of the population now has more wealth than the bottom 95% combined, the average CEO earns over 530 times more than his average employee, and one man (Bill Gates) has assets greater than the wealth of 45% of all American households combined. Thus, this “New World Order” begins to look a lot like the enslavement of humanity and the earth’s environment for the benefit of the very few. In short, it is an “oligarchy of the wealthy.”

Given the magnitude of threats to our global environment which these economic disparities perpetuate, David Korten (When Corporations Rule the World) does not exaggerate when he states that we are placing “human civilization and even the survival of our species at risk mainly to allow a million or so people to accumulate money beyond any conceivable need.”

Is this incredible concentration of wealth in the hands of a comparatively tiny international elite the face of the “New World Order”? Or is the end goal of the New World Order something else, perhaps even more sinister and repugnant? Or is the idea of a New World Order actually an idealistic plan to advance the world toward a more peaceful and equitable future? As it happens, this “big idea” of a “New World Order” has a surprisingly long and well-publicized history. A considerable body of descriptions of the idea by past writers suggests that some of the original goals of the New World Order have not yet been attained. Certainly, given that this NWO seems to be becoming more and more of a global reality, and given that some of it’s proponents (President Woodrow Wilson, Adolf Hitler, President George H.W. Bush, to name a few) have been extremely well-placed and powerful, exploration of the history of this idea seems appropriate.

In Secret Records Revealed: The Men, the Money and the Methods behind the New World Order (1999), D.L. Cuddy documents that the idea of a New World Order is particularly associated with a number of British oligarchs and writers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. British diamond- and gold-magnate, Cecil Rhodes, seems to have had an especially significant role in both formulating the concept and in helping to implement it, through, amongst other things, his establishment of Rhodes Scholarships to top international scholars, such as President Bill Clinton (Rhodes Scholar, 1968). In his “Confession of Faith”, Rhodes stated his vision as follows:

In 1890, Rhodes wrote to his close friend W.T. Stead that:

The key of my idea… is a Society… a secret one, gradually absorbing the wealth of the world… Fancy the charm to young America… to share in a scheme to take the government of the whole world!”

It is important to note that Rhodes’ extraordinarily successful career in the businesses of extracting gold and diamonds from South Africa was financially underwritten by the Rothschild banking family, which at the turn of the 20th century, was reported to control fully half of the world’s wealth.

So, using his great fortune, Rhodes formed his “Society for the Elect” in 1891. Rhodes was “General”, while Lord Milner, William Stead and Lord Escher formed the executive committee. “The Group” as it was also called, was dominated by a financial elite and was surrounded by a “Circle of Initiates” or “Association of Helpers”, later organized into the Round Table Groups of London by Lord Milner. One of the first projects of this secret society was to involve Britain in the Anglo-Boer War of 1899, in which South Africa was intentionally destroyed so that it could be rebuilt by London financiers, who, as it happens, were associated with the secret group. (This strategy of destroying and then rebuilding countries has been used time and time again by the world’s ruling elite, most recently in Iraq.)

In 1909, America’s New Carnegie Institute (founded in 1902 by Daniel Coit Gilman of Yale’s Skull and Bones elite secret society) published “Cecil Rhodes and His Scholars as Factors in International Conciliation”. The paper, authored by the first Oxford Secretary to the Rhodes Trust, Francis Wylie, suggests that in order to develop “so great a Power as to hereafter render wars impossible”, a (secret) society be formed “to this end”, “co-extensive with the British Empire, preaching imperial ideas, and effecting its objectives through the control of education”. He goes on to state that these objectives should be achieved in an “unobtrusive” manner, with influence “as subtle as it is leisurely”.

In 1920, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) was founded as the American Branch of the Round Table Groups (Royal Institute of International Affairs or RIIA) by Col. Edward House’s group, “The Inquiry”. In his book, The Anglo-America Establishment (1949), American History Professor Carol Quigley describes the CFR as:

That the Council of Foreign Relations has been a major part of “America’s Secret Establishment” is demonstrated by the fact that since 1953, six of nine presidents, eleven of twelve Secretaries of State, and thirteen of fourteen Directors of the CIA have been members of the CFR.

The basic goals of the NWO were also outlined by several influential writers in the early part of the 20th century. Two books, both entitled The New World Order, were published in 1918 and 1919 by Samuel Zane Batten and Frederick Charles Hicks, respectively. Batten’s book, published by the American Baptist Publication Society, states:

In Experiment in Autobiography (1934), Wells further stated:

And in The New World Order (1939), Wells asserted:

In 1928, Edward Bernays (nephew of Sigmund Freud and chief advisor for the new Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), which was founded by William Paley (CFR), wrotePropaganda, stating:

In 1929, just after the Stock Market crashed in America, Rep. Louis McFadden stated the crash was “not accidental. It was a carefully contrived occurrence. The international bankers sought to bring about a condition of despair here so they might emerge rulers of us all.” Similarly, in F.D.R.: My Exploited Father-in-Law, Curtis Dall quoted President Roosevelt himself as explaining that the crash was:

In that same year, the Owen D. Young Plan resulted in the establishment of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Switzerland. Young was CFR director from 1927 to 1940. Prof. Quigley wrote in Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time (1959) that the Young plan was:

That well-positioned elites were working in secret to bring about this New World Order is affirmed in a 1931 speech by the great historian Arnold Toynbee (also a member ofThe Group) given to the Institute for the Study of International Affairs, in which he stated:

In 1930, the New York Times published an article that quoted Representative Louis McFadden (Chairman of the House Committee on Banking and Currency) as follows:

Thus, from its inception, the notion of a New World Order involved the elimination of all national sovereignties and thereby, necessitated the dismantling of the U.S. government and the U.S. constitution. In that sense, the idea always was and remains treasonous.

Some members of this secret group of aristocratic conspirators provide a vision of something perhaps more noble than merely the complete control of the world’s masses for the benefit of a financial/feudal elite. In The City of Man (1941), Rhodes Scholars Frank Aydellote and William Yandell Elliot (Professor of government at Harvard University) wrote:

However, a “humanitarian” impulse behind the New World Order is belied by the preference by many of the international elites for Hitler’s Third Reich. In The American Oxonian (1940), Rhodes scholar (1913) Edward Porter stated:

Indeed, it now appears that not only the Great Depression but also World Wars I and II were contrived and orchestrated by these same financial elites. Their purpose? In addition to making enormous personal fortunes from war industries (the most lucrative of businesses), they intended to eradicate national sovereignties and institute a one world government under the auspices of the League of Nations (after WWI) and the United Nations (after WWII). In The Shape of Things to Come (1933), H.G. Wells predicted that a Second World War would begin around 1940, beginning with a German-Polish dispute, and that the plan for a “Modern World State” would succeed on its third attempt, around 1980, emerging out of something that would happen in Basra, Iraq.

In his Nov. 25, 1940 diary entry, Secretary of War Henry Stimson (member of CFR and elite Yale secret society Skull and Bones, class of ‘17) noted that “President Roosevelt brought up the event that we are likely to be attacked perhaps (as soon as) next Monday, for the Japanese are notorious for making an attack without warning, and the question was how we should maneuver them into the position of firing the first shot.” And on November 26, 1941, according to Gregory Douglas’ Gestapo Chief: the 1948 Interrogation of Heinrich Muller, Prime Minister Winston Churchill called President Roosevelt to inform him that the Japanese would attack Pearl Harbor on December 7. Indeed, the front page of the Honolulu Advisor on November 30 read: “Japan May Strike Over Weekend!”

In 1943, the Chicago Daily Tribune published an article entitled “Mr. Rhodes’ Agents”, in which he stated:

James Warburg, son of the immensely wealthy and powerful banker Paul Warburg, stated to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Feb. 17, 1950: “We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent.” That a banker should so blatantly dictate his agenda to U.S. Senators is one instance in which genuine power relations were revealed. As Supreme Justice Felix Frankfurter stated in 1952: “The real rulers in Washington are invisible, and exercise power from behind the scenes.”

It appears, however, that although the would-be architects of the New World Order have succeeded in engineering many world conflicts and economic events such as major world wars and the Great Depression and have achieved dramatic progress, their goal of a one-world government still has not yet been realized. Nonetheless, recent statements made by extremely powerful governmental officials suggest that the end goal of the NWO remains the same. For example:

President George H.W. Bush, said on February 1, 1992:

Strobe Talbot, President Clinton’s Deputy Secretary of State, stated on July 20, 1992: “In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete. All states will recognize a single global authority. National sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all”

Former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, stated in 1994: “NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Association) is a major stepping stone to the New World Order.” In this view, Kissinger is simply describing the strategy which had for years guided elites: In 1948, Rhodes Scholar Clyde Eagleton published the second edition of International Government, in which he stated:

Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., in the CFR journal Foreign Affairs. “We are not going to achieve a New World Order without paying for it in blood, as well as in words and money.”

On July 26, 1968, Presidential candidate and New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller announced that “as president, he would work toward international creation of a new world order”, according to an Associated Press report.

Kofi Anan, UN Secretary General: “A world government can intervene militarily in the internal affairs of any nation when it disapproves of their activities…”

In a 1994 book entitled Science of Coersion: Communication Research and Psychological Warfare 1945-1960, Christopher Simpson wrote:

In Professor Quigley’s The Anglo-American Establishment, he warns:

Quotes such as these enable us to begin to understand how a relatively small and covert network of wealthy elites have managed to control and are controlling events in such a way that their vision of a one-world government should come to pass for all of us. Their writings indicate their vision also involves the establishment of one-world legal and military systems as well as a one-world religion. We see that they have used utilized mass propaganda, psychological warfare, economic depressions, and even major world wars to advance this agenda. We see that they have worked covertly through secret societies, academic scholarships, and especially, through financial, political, and legal institutions and international trade agreements, etc. The unstated assumptions of this group seem to include the assumption that the British are the chosen people of the earth and that all cultures should be destroyed or changed to accommodate the needs of their British masters.

Indeed, Cecil Rhodes’s will formulated the ultimate goal of NWO and The Group clearly:

Clearly writers such as H.G. Wells, George Orwell (in 1984) have given us literary visions of what a future totalitarian world government might look like. Another such glimpse was provided in 1907 by Jack London who, after reading W.J. Ghent’s “Our Benevolent Feudalism” (1902), wrote “The Iron Heel”. According to London, Ghent’s book is the textbook the Oligarchs will use to rule in the future:

Recent (summer, 2005) Supreme Court rulings now extended the right of “eminent domain” granting powers of government to seize private property for the benefit of corporations or the wealthy. We have seen the evisceration of the Bill of Rights liberties with the USA PATRIOT ACT. It seems then that elites have decided to take an incremental approach to fulfilling their ancient vision of a totalitarian society ruled by the rich, an “oligarchy of the wealthy”. But their cherished vision is centuries old. War Industries Board advisor Bernard Beruch articulated this long-term vision in 1918:

Similarly, other extremely well-positioned members of the elite occasionally reveal the truth:

In 1933, FDR wrote a letter to Col. House (Rothschild agent), stating, “The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a small financial element in the larger centers has owned government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” And later he stated: “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, it was planned that way.”

Also in 1933, Joseph Kennedy (JFK’s father) stated, “Fifty men have run America, and that’s a high figure.”

Conclusions

Thus, it appears that whereas the long-term plan of the international, elite super-rich to establish a one world government system under their control have has not quite yet been fully realized, that they are making rapid progress in that direction. Secret meetings between the presidents of the U.S. (George W. Bush), Canada, and Mexico have been held since 2005 to usher in the North American Union, which would also usher in a new constitution and the elimination of the U.S. Constitution (to which Bush and all American politicians and military professionals swear to uphold). Historians such as Georgetown Professor Carol Quigley and A.C. Sutton (America’s Secret Establishment: An Introduction to the Order of Skull and Bones) have documented that these elites have a long tradition of working covertly through secret societies (such as The Group,the Roundtable, the Bilderberger Group, The Order of Skull and Bones and the Illuminati, the latter two of which are also known as the “Brotherhood of Death”). In addition, there is clearly an unmistakable Satanic orientation in the secret rituals of some of these societies, such as Skull and Bones and the Illuminati.

For the benefit of the many well-intentioned Americans who have absolutely no idea where our ruling elite is taking us then, I would offer the following personal speculations based upon the above facts:

1) The intention of the current Bush administration is to bankrupt America through mismanagement, running up huge foreign debts, prosecuting expensive foreign wars, and through massive tax give-aways to the rich.

2) Once the world’s sole superpower falls due to bankruptcy, its creditors, the international banking and corporate elite (The IMF, BIS, World Bank and others) will be able to dictate the terms of a New World Order. This will likely take the form of a one world government under the jurisdiction of the World Court and a consolidated world military, probably in concert with the United Nations. Of course, there will be one international currency which they will print and control.

3) This totalitarian dictatorship of the wealthy will, in all likelihood, be brutal beyond all imagining. One of their first goals will probably be “depopulation”, that is a reduction of the human population to 20% or less than our current number (6.5 billion).

4) Many have observed that the world’s financial elite themselves have been working “slavishly” to bring about this one world government for many generations. The obvious next question is: who would control such a system and is their motivation benign or malevolent?

5) That question can certainly be answered by examining the methods they have been using to obtain their objectives. These include mass murder, genocide, psychological warfare, propaganda, and amassing huge personal fortunes in the sale of weapons, illicit drugs, the sex trade, fraud, insider trading, etc. Their methods then, have routinely involved killing, stealing, lying, and every kind of subterfuge. Their rule, then, would not be benign; it would be brutal.

6) The one world religion they are now working slavishly to institute? Many writers claim it is a Synagogue of Satan (centered in Jeruselem) and the worldwide rule of Lucifer. (Please note that whereas I am personally agnostic about the existence of Lucifer, there can be no doubt that many people worship such a power in exchange for perceived personal advantage.)
